How to select links without clicking on them

Hi there,

I’m using Siteorigin CSS Editor on my website. However, while using the CSS editor in visual mode, everytime I select any of the links on the the pages to edit, the browser takes me to that page. This makes it really difficult to edit the page as the page keeps changing everytime I click on an element or link on my homepage that I wish to edit using the CSS editor.

How can I prevent this from happening? I don’t want any of the links to open, if I wish to edit those pages, I’ll go to those pages directly, I want to disable Siteorigin’s CSS editor from opening links or clickable elements on the page.

Thanks

Shyam

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Shyam,

This sounds like you’re experiencing a plugin conflict as this as clicking a link shouldn’t navigate you until you tell SiteOrigin CSS to navigate to the page. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
