    Hi Anthony

Are you sure you don’t want to try running Focus as per the demo, it would resolve this problem. Here is how.

    1. Each post you add must have a featured image added. This image will get used for the home slider and thumbnails.

    2. To get the Focus home page up and running go to Settings > Reading and select Front Page Displays Latest Posts.

Your home page will then look as follows:

    http://demo.siteorigin.com/focus/

    3. To get your videos displaying like this:

Add a post for each video. Below the regular WordPress editor you’ll find a prompt to install Focus Videos, our plugin. Insert your video via that interface.

    4. If you want your site to automatically create featured images from videos, check my thread here:

Ok but how does that help with the master slider etc?

    Hi, I Work Here

The setup I’m suggesting is to use the default slider. At this stage, it isn’t possible, without custom development, to replicate the demo home page using a third-party slider. To use Master Slider in the way you’d like, you’d need to insert it, using a child theme, before the content box.

My other points regarding single post pages are still applicable.
