How to pause Slider Widget?

Hello there, I am very new to the website game. I am using the SiteOrigin Slider Widget…the best slider out there…no question! Just one very important issue: I cannot (or anyone on my site) cannot seem to pause the slider to a particular frame. The user must be able to pause a frame indefinitely without it running away! Any clue how I would go about doing this simply? Otherwise the slider is very fluid and accommodates any size image…which is great! I tried and tried but cannot figure out how to pause the frame or slide momentarily so that the user can examine the frame???? All responses would be greatly appreciated…thanks!

    Hi Ernest

Very awesome to hear you’re getting some good use out of the slider widget.

You’re right, a user really should be able to pause on a slide. One implementation I’ve seen around is pausing a slide when the user hovers their mouse over it. Is this the kind of thing you’d be after?

I’d need to add this as a feature, but it should be fairly easy to implement and I could try get it out in the next update if this is what you’re after.

Thanks very much for your quick reply Greg…I am using quite a few of
SiteOrigin's plugins on my website and each plugin is a small wonder on its own. You guys are doing a great job and I really applaud your expertise and helping the helpless…I am a real newbie at this game (even though I am in my 60's now).

I love the way the your slider is able to conform to the size of my slides! Some things that would be a great improvement:
    (1) I would love to be able to keep track of the slides that I have currently inserted…some sort of numbering system that maps a slide number to the file name.
    (2) The ability to reorder the slides…I cannot seem to easily do this!
    (3) The ability for the user to "hover and pause" so that he has a chance to read the information on the slide without having to back up! This is exactly what you mentioned above!

Bottom line: You should increase the composer's ability to more easily edit the contents and reordering. This would make for a perfect slider.

Please do not take offence to my suggestions here…but constructive suggestions from the public at large promotes the development of an even better product!

Some feedback please…especially on the "hover and pause" feature so that the slides are not always trying to "run away being being absorbed".

    Thanks in advance…best regards Ernest.
