How to make Revolution Slider work with SiteOrigin

Hi support team,

I want to replace meta slider by revolution slider. I’ve encountered two issues with the transition.

1) RevSlider ShortCode with SideOrigin Editor doesn’t work

Usually I create my slider with the revolution slider editor, take the shortcode [rev_slider alias=”slidername”] and put it into the text editor of the particular side – job done. However, this approach does not seem to work with the SideOrigin editor as the slider just wont show up. Any hints how to overcome this issue?

2) Replace MetaSlider Widget by RevSlider Widget

It would be perfect, if there is a way to replace the “page meta slider”, that appears on the backend sidebar below the “page attribute” and above the “page setting” with a widget that controls the revolution slider. Is that possible?

Thanks in advance,
Jan

    Hi Jan,

    1. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to replicate this issue, Hm. Try unticking the Automatically add paragraphs setting below the editor to see if that resolves this issue for you.

    2. Unfortunately, this isn’t possible without a fair amount of custom coding. This is beyond the scope of what we can help you with on the forums, but you could hire a developer to implement this for you. Sorry mate. :(

    We highly recommend using Codeable.
