How to have a custom home page and have a separate page with all blog posts?

By Joshua Be, 9 years ago. Last reply by Magus, 9 years ago.

I’m using Vantage Premium. Right now the home page is all my posts in chronological order. I’ve set it to this by going to Appearance > Customize > Static Front Page > Front Page Displays: Your Latest Posts.

I would like to use the “custom home page” feature of the theme to create a new home page to replace the current, but still have a page featuring all my posts that’s not the home page. How can I do this? There’s not an obvious option for making a page like this except as the home page.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Joshua

First create a new blank page and name it ‘Blog’ or ‘Posts’.
Then navigate to Appearance->Home Page and enable the custom home page.
Then navigate to Appearance -> Customize- > Static Front Page and change the entry for Home Page to your home page and the Posts page to your new posts page.

This will automatically populate the new posts page with your posts, and give you the pagebuilder home page.

Let us know how you get on

Well I wish I had figured that out myself, hehe. Thanks a lot, Magus. That was exactly what I needed.
