How to display ribbon image larger than its row’s height?

Using SiteOrigin to create a 1 column row that will be approx 50px tall used as a subheading title. It will have a background color, so it will be a grey bar that extends the container width.

Inside the left of the row, I have an image of a ribbon that needs to display over the bar and the height is intentionally larger than 50px height of the bar so the bottom of the ribbon extends under the bar. However, I’m not sure how to do this within the widget construct. If I use a background-image, I don’t see how I can allow that image to extend beyond the height of the row.

Is this possible?
