How to create a blog

Hello,

I would like to a blog for my website (imagetopainting.com) that’s not displayed on the homepage. As in, the blog is linked via the main bar but the posts can’t be seen on the main page.

How do you reccomend I do this?

Regards,
Daniel

    Hi Daniel

We’ve recently made some changes in Page Builder that make this a little easier. So make sure you’re using at least version 1.5 of Page Builder. You should see an update available in Dashboard > Updates.

    Then follow these steps.

    1) Create a new standard page called “Blog”. You don’t need to enter any content on this page.
    2) Navigate to Settings > Reading in your WordPress admin.
    3) Select the “Blog” page you just created for the “Posts Page” setting.

You should be able to link to this page in your WordPress menus and it’ll display all your latest blog posts.

    H Greg,

Thanks for your help. The support provided in this forum is fantastic.

Also, do you have any experience in having a box where people can enter their email addresses to be added for newsletters? Any recommended plugins?

    Regards,
    Daniel

    Hi, I Work Here

Glad to hear we’ve been helpful!

It depends on who you’re using for newsletters. Probably the easiest way though is to add a text widget to a Page Builder page and just drop in the form code from your newsletter provider.

For example, here’s a guide on creating a form in Mailchimp.

I haven’t tested these plugins, but they seem to provide widgets that would let you add forms to your Page Builder pages.
