Dears,
I would like to change standard Influence theme phrases from English to my native language (Lithauninan) and I didn’t find where it is possible.
For example: I want to change a: “Continue Reading” to “Toliau…” or “Posted on” to “Paskelbta” and all others:

I tried to find this possibility in all template files on theme-editor.php but unfortunately not found.
Is there solution for it on Influence theme anywhere?
Hi Linas
It’s unfortunately a bit of a process. Here is how:
http://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/how-to-translate-a-wordpress-theme/
Once you have your .mo and .po files ready you can insert them into the languages folder of this child theme: https://siteorigin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/influence-child-translation.zip
Download that ZIP, unzip it, insert the .mo and .po files into the languages folder in the child theme and then re-zip it. You can then install the child theme from Appearance > Themes > Add New: Upload Theme.
Activating a child theme does unfortunately mean re-doing Appearance > Customizer and Appearance > Menus settings.
Ok!
I have found a way of solving it!
there is a lithuanisation of WP if it will be needed for somewho else:

and all other texts I’ve found on Influence theme files.
thanks anyway if you have read this all.
Super, glad to hear you made progress.
Please keep in mind that if you edited theme files and didn’t place those files in a child theme, those changes will be lost if you update the theme.
Andrew, ok thank you so much! it is very usefull hint about child…. unfortunately I didn’t knew that before. It is not a big problem because I still have original theme files too. By now I should study all about theme child :) and will do it like it should be done.
maybe you know a good place where I can get full and clear information about theme child?
If you’re just editing CSS then you can just use a plugin like Simple Custom CSS to manage your edited selectors. Here is our tutorial on this: https://siteorigin.com/basics/modifying-theme-design-with-custom-css/.
If you land up changing the code in a theme file then just that edited file needs to go in the child theme. WordPress will use the file you’ve place in the child theme over the original which is located in the parent theme folder.
