Hi,
Im new at this so i hope to be understood.
I build amazing homepage with Origami and Masonry.
I have 2 questions: how can i control the posts that will be shown on the masonry home page? i dont want that all my post will be directly shown.
what is the difference between order and order by? i want Masonry decide alone how to manage the pictures in the best way – is that possible?

tnx.
Natalie

    Hi Natalie

    Glad to hear you’ve been creating with Origami and the Masonry plugin.

    Order By: has several options like Date, Comment Count and so on. This field lets you decide which metric should be used to order your posts.

    Order: has two settings, Ascending or Descending. This takes whatever field you’ve decided to Order By and runs your posts either from the top down or the bottom up – ascending or descending.

    It sounds like Posts Per Page might helpful as you can set how many posts should appear on your home page. Additionally you might want to limit Masonry to only a few categories of posts. The last field is called Additional, there you can enter an argument like:

    cat=x,y,z

    or

    cat=x

    Where x,y,z are category ID’s. To get the ID go to Posts > Categories, click on a category and check the url for the ID.

    How would I do this if I wanted to show product in this manner? I do not see a category id under my product categories. I tried pasting in “cat=’slug or category name here’ and neither worked.

    Hi BAtbuilder1

    Is there not a WooCommerce widget that can be used here?

    Please open a new support thread for further assistance on this.

    Thanks.

    There is but it only shows all products and I really like the way the product splits open.

    Thanks
