    Hi Hayley

    You can accomplish this with a little custom CSS. Just navigate to Appearance > Custom CSS.

    .vantage-carousel-wrapper .vantage-carousel li.carousel-entry .thumbnail a span.overlay {
    background: #3279BB !important;
}

    Just change the background to any HEX color value.

    You might also need to install the SiteOrigin CSS Editor.
