Help me! I updated the theme and page builder and now my home page customization is gone! There is nothing left! How can I do?
Now I’m trying to go back with all my backups but how can I update the theme without losing my homepage?

Not resolved yet. But I found the problem. It’s not a problem of the Vantage Theme but the cause of this mess in homepage is the update of Page Builder. Running the latest versions of WP and Vantage, WordPress ask me to update Page Builder from version 1.4.1to 2.2. But if I update the plugin erase my custom homepage in Vantage Theme. Very strange! How can it be possible?

There are challenges running post WordPress 4.0 with pre Page Builder 2.0. If you are able to restore OR with other sites the way I’ve resolved this particular challenge in the past is as follows:

    1. Create a new page, call it Home if you don’t have one called Home and click the Prebuilt button in Page Builder. Clone the existing home page.
    2. Save it and check that you have a copy of the home page working properly.
    3. Run your upgrades. If you experience content loss at Appearance > Home Page you now have the home page saved safely under Pages.

Let me know how this goes.

If you can roll back the site that Appearance > Home Page loss happened on we could use the above steps.

    Ok… I did it!

I cloned my homepage to a new one. Then I customized the theme with a static home page (my new one) and a blog page. At this point I updated the plugin. Now it’s all ok!

    Thank you for your help!
