I read somewhere a few weeks ago, an old post concerning Hero images, stating that they were NOT fully responsive. The answer to the post stated that a new plugin was being developed which would give the functionality of a hero image but would be fully respocive. The post was dated a couple of months ago and in the response it stated that the new plugin would be ready within a couple of weeks from then. Has this new plugin been released? and if so what is ir called or has the hero image been upgraded to be fully responsive.
I currently host several sites for clients all of which are build using the SiteOrigin Vantage theme.

Thanks for posting, sorry we weren’t able to reply sooner.
The Hero doesn’t use fitting text so the background image size is set to cover. For a widget to be fully responsive the background image would need to be set to 100% but that means that the height changes so the text has to re-size too.
There was talk of the Layout Slider Widget being fully responsive, unfortunately, it didn’t land up coming out that way. The SiteOrigin Slider widget IS but it only offers a background and foreground image settings, so it isn’t a full replacement for the Hero widget at the moment.
