Hero Image Widget Background not working

Hello,

The hero image widget was working before the update, but now that I updated the theme it stopped working. When I try to set the background of the hero image to any image in the media gallery, the widget doesn’t show up. If I put text or an image in the text editor it will show up, but the background feature is not working. I want the background feature so that I can create a big hero image/cover photo, but now the widget is useless because inserting an image in the text field doesn’t cover the entire screen.
