    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi

    Thanks for running Focus.

    3. Head to Posts > Categories and add categories as required. Posts can then be added to categories in the right column when editing a post. It’s then possible to link to these category pages in your menu by adding a Link item. Each category page will then have a layout similar to the home page, just without a slider.

    6. There are a few plugins you can use for this. WP Members is an example of one: http://rocketgeek.com/plugins/wp-members/users-guide/. You could then add a login menu item via Appearance > Menus. Another plugin just for login/logout links that I’ve used in the past is: https://wordpress.org/plugins/baw-login-logout-menu/.

Your other requests are regrettably beyond the functionality of Focus. If you’d like to consider custom development we recommend using http://codeable.io/. You can also suggest future features for Focus: https://siteorigin.com/suggest-feature/. This however is more a democratic process where user requests are weighed up periodically and implemented according to popularity.

I do not quite understand #3. Please explain again. I have linked videos to categories, but they do not sit on their own page as you describe.

I have just tried the BAW plugin. Added to my menu, but they do not work!!!!

    Hi, I Work Here

Each category has a slug, you can find the category url as follows:

    /category/category-slug/

For example in the case of my category called Category One, the slug is category-one so I can view the page at:

    /category/category-one/

Using that information you can add a Link item to your menu if required.

Head to Appearance > Menus, ensure you have a menu saved to the Primary Location then using the BAW box bottom left you can add an item, the Log In | Log Out item for example will read Log In when you are logged out and Log Out when you are logged in. The menu item itself will take you to the login page or just log you out as an action. For further member work you’ll need a plugin like WP Members or S2Member.
