Help Needed: Optimizing SiteOrigin Widgets for Faster Load Times

By smith, 7 months ago. Last reply by Andrew Misplon, 7 months ago.

Hi everyone,

I’m a newbie working with SiteOrigin, and I’ve been enjoying the flexibility of its widgets. However, I’ve noticed that some of the pages I’ve built using SiteOrigin widgets are taking longer to load than I’d like. Since page speed is crucial for both user experience and SEO, I’m looking for tips to optimize the load times.

Here are a few specifics:

I use multiple widgets on each page, including image sliders, accordions, and contact forms.
I’ve optimized my images and enabled caching, but the performance still isn’t ideal.
My hosting is decent, but I’m open to suggestions if that could also be a factor.
Could anyone share their best practices for improving site speed while using SiteOrigin?

Are there lightweight alternatives to certain widgets?
Is there a way to load widgets asynchronously or minimize scripts?
Any recommendations for plugins or tools that pair well with SiteOrigin for performance?
Thanks in advance for your help! I’d greatly appreciate any advice or suggestions from this awesome community. 😊

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

    Hi, I Work Here

Hi, thanks for posting your question.

Autoptimize can help with deferring and aggregating assets. Unfortunately, there isn’t a predefined list of lightweight versions of existing widgets.
