Having an issue with the home page builder on the vantage theme

I have installed and activated the custom home page builder plugin on the free vantage theme.

My issue is when I go to edit/customize (dashboard ->appearance->home page) the widget blocks etc do not appear. The edit page is showing up just like any other wordpress page so I cannot edit the homepage.

Note: I have deactivated all previously existing plugins and also removed any cache plugins to no avail. I also installed the vantage theme and the homepage builder plugin on another site without this issue.

    Hi Marty

I’m not quite following how that looks so lets try a few things. Is Appearance > Home Page turned ON? Can you add a widget using the + button there? Alternatively can you go to Pages > Home, create that page if it isn’t there and then click over the Page Builder tab and work from there, it’s the same thing in the end.

Thanks, that helps a lot! Is there anything holding you back from upgrading to WordPress 4.0.1? If you need to stick with an older version of WordPress then you’ll most likely need to roll back to an older version of Page Builder, 1.5.1 I believe.

So to confirm, assuming there is no big issue with upgrading, please try upgrading WordPress.
