Hi,

i´m using Vantage Premium Theme and have the problem that i got on each site two times the h1 header.
One come´s from the header widget and what i like to have. The other is from the site title.

I changed with your css that you don´t see the site title but still it is on my side. So for my seo it is bad.
It´s possible to have only the h1 title from the header widget?

thank´s and regards
Manuel

    Hi Manuel

I see your issue. The only way to completely remove the page title H1 tag would be to use a child-theme. The one drawback to this method is that you will lose your menu positioning and sidebar widgets so these would need to be reapplied. Here is a child theme that will do what you need

Let us know how you get on

    Hi Magus,

puh sounds bad bud i will try it. But why happens this? It comes after i use the widget, i think. Or was it the last update?

    Hi Manuel

The H1 page title has always been a part of Vantage. The CSS code to remove it only hides it from being displayed when viewed but because it is still part of the HTML search engines can still read it. Because you are using a Headline Widget you are getting a second H1 tag in the page, hence the problem.

Switching to a child-theme isn’t all that bad, You have to re-apply the menu positioning, sidebar widget placements and any changes made in Appearance->Customise. The easiest way is to have two windows open. One displaying Appearance->Customize for the original theme and one for the child-theme after it has been activated, then just copy like for like.

If you need any help withy this please let us know

    Hi Manuel

Glad to hear you managed it. It can be a bit scary with an already developed site.

Good luck with the rest and if you need any more help, feel free to open a new support thread.
