Hi All,
I’m using Grid Loops to display Custom Post Types of various categories. I have two pages using grid loops, but one page has uniform sized thumbnails, while the other has thumbnails with different heights.
How do I get both pages to display thumbnails with a uniform size?
Here are the pages:

Thanks in advance.

Hi Krousen56
Thanks for your question. Try installing and running the following plugin:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/
I did that (I read about that plugin from this support forum, from a similar thread).
I’ve been looking at the images used for the Featured Images on the Day Tours page. They are small, only 180px wide (my client provided the images), would that effect the odd sizing? When I check the uploads folder on the server these small images don’t have the complete set of image sizes, is this because the images are too small?
Do I have any options, beside replacing the images?
Thanks in advance.
Hi krousen56
I have been a fan of the Page Loop Plug in for some time. My experience suggests you get better results with consistent image sizes/proportions.
Recently I have been using https://wordpress.org/plugins/widgets-for-siteorigin/ rather than Post Loop as It gives me a couple more controls. However the fundamental issue is consistent sizes give consistent results. I have used Featured images 400×400 a lot. One of the reasons for that decision has been the desire to get images to look good on mobile devices as well.
Good luck with it all
Hi Philip Barrington and SiteOrigin Support Assistants,
I got the client to give me larger images. I’ll see if this doesn’t fix the problem.
Thank you Philip Barrington for the suggested plugin, I’ll give it a try.
Thank you all
Thanks Philip :)
krousen56, the grid loop has hard crop set to true so the images should, in theory, be the same size:
So, if you wanted to stick with the Post Loop (PB) widget then it’s worth giving Regen. Thumbnails a try. Alternatively, the plugin Philip suggested is a great option.
