With the new Ranking Algo Google is pushing on April 21, 2015 I was looking at how to optimize Vantage Premium for mobile. I have a new WP 4.1.1 site that is a plain vanilla install using WP Rocket for caching. I have not installed Meta Slider.
Google Pagespeed scores without the vantage theme get a mobile score of 90, and desktop of 95; with Vantage Premium the mobile score drops to 61, and desktop is a 92. I tried moving the js components to the footer using WP Rocket, but the slider does not display.
Any suggestions on how to get the vantage theme to score better for mobile.

I’ve logged this as an issue in our issue tracker – we’ll give it a thorough investigation before the Google algorithm changes go live. We’ll be sure to keep you posted.
At the moment, I think the main issue is probably image sizes in Vantage on mobile. I’ll see what the best practices are for handling this.
