Hello,
First of all: your PageBuilder is awesome. Saves a lot of work!
But I do have problems with the Google Maps widget. No map is shown, not on a contact page nor on a normal page. Tried everything I could think of. The support staff at ThemeTrust (I’m currently working with the Bramble theme, which comes with PageBuilder) cannot help, they went into the site as well to check it out, nothing irregular there.
Their advice was to contact SiteOrigin. I do hope you can offer me some help here because this map is quite important.
Thanks,
Kind regrads,
Marina
Thanks Marina – awesome to hear you’re enjoying Page Builder.
Google actually changed their requirements slightly. All websites that use a map are now required to have an API key. The Google Maps Widget in our Widgets Bundle does have a field to enter this API key, but it was marked as optional in the past. It’s now required.
This is a slightly unfortunate change. It makes setting up a Google Map a little more complex.
You can get a key on this page https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key
Just click Get a Key and follow the instructions.

Hi Greg,
Thanks for your explanation. Nothing seems to be uncomplicated anymore, alas.
I’ll try to insert a Google Map by means of obtaining the necessary API key, hope it works. The above replies do not have an encouraging ring to it, though.
We’ll see.
Kind regards,
Marina
I have the same problem. I got the API code and did not work. The map remained out, insists on not appear.
I’m using Sydney theme.
What could be happening?
