Global and Page Defaults

Love the Page Builder Plungin.

But now need some way of setting global and page defaults.

Typically, I have the same settings for rows and widgets (why not, don’t you was standardized UX? ), so it is OK to do it manually for a single page or even clone it.

But, if I add a row or a widget, hell breaks loose. Now I have to go back and redo some of the settings, especially for background color if I want to alternate the colors for odd and even rows.

Suggest a setup page for global defaults where one can go and set defaults for rows and widgets. This way, overtime you drop one, you can have your defaults work it in.

Same for each page.

    Hi wn,

This is something we definitely intend on implementing and are currently working towards accomplishing this. I sadly can’t give you an exact timeframe on this feature, however.

    Hi wn,

You can kind of accomplish this right now by making use of the layout builder widget instead as that will allow you to clone existing pages / posts. That way you can set up pretty much exactly what you want however it’ll be stored in a private page instead of an “official” setting.

Once you’ve added the layout builder widget click prebuilt layouts and then refer to the side for further instructions. A slightly more optimal official method is planned for a future update.
