Is there a way to zoom out the slider images?
On the main page, my latest videos (recent posts) don’t have the play symbol like your section does in the demo. Is this because it’s not a linked video and not a local file?
Is there a way to just extract the thumbnail from the video itself or do I have to do a featured image every time?
Honestly, I would love the latest videos section to just be thumbnails of my youtube video and when you click them, it takes you to the actual video on Youtube…is that possible?

Main Slider
Full-width images are always a challenge. There has to be zooming because the slider’s height is always the same. What we can do, is change the focal point. Instead of center center, we could make it top center. Let me know if you want to try that.
Play Icon
Reference: http://demo.siteorigin.com/focus/. On the home page, it’s only the slider that receives the play icon.
Auto Featured Image
I worked up a solution a while ago, here are the steps I took: Thread: Add automatic video featured images/thumbnails to Focus theme. Let me know how that goes.

I’m sure this is possible but it isn’t something I’ve done before. You wouldn’t really need Focus for that. Just off the top of my head, does YouTube offer RSS feeds? If it does you could use a WordPress RSS feed plugin to customise the display of your feed and display that. There would be lots of different ways to achieve this.
