Framing an MP4 video

By Ken Evans, 9 years ago. Last reply by Ken Evans, 9 years ago.

I’m using the Visual Editor widget to embed videos.
Videos from YouTube fill up the frame nicely but my own videos are on Screencast.com and they have black bands around them.
The size of the black band varies with the values in height and width in the embed code.
Small values result in a big black frame, larger videos have black bands on each side.

How can I make my Screencast.com videos fit nicely and automatically as they do from YouTube?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ken

This is a peculiarity with the way Screencast generates its embed code. I don’t know if you have seen it but there is a video showing what to do here

    Hope this helps

    Hi Magus,
    Thanks.
    What a palaver!
    Makes using Screencast more complicated.

Do you have any suggested alternatives? (Other than YouTube that is)
    I don’t want any adverts.
    Thanks

    Hi Ken

You could use Vimeo, they offer a free or premium account, the premium with no ads @ $59 per year.

The other option would be to host them yourself, if you have enough space and bandwidth.

    Thanks Magus.
I’ll try one of the alternatives.
