Are there any plans on updating Vantage/PageBuilder to use FontAwesome 4.1? There are a ton of new icons I would love to use in my sites!

Although you wouldn’t be able to use them in your Vantage menus, our widgets bundle plugin does use the latest version of FontAwesome (along with some other awesome icon packs).

We do have it logged as a request. There are some legacy issues we have with moving over to the new version. I unfortunately can’t say at this stage exactly when it’ll happen.
If you need the new fonts in the Circle Icon widget then rather use the Features Widget in our Widget Bundle: http://wordpress.org/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/.
If you need them for menu icons then perhaps try: https://wordpress.org/plugins/menu-icons/.

You could avoid this altogether by making the list dynamic and either rename the fontawesome handle to basically fontawesome or font-awesome, which would let the user chose which version of fontawesome to use.
I’ve ran into this issue with my plugin, but I’ve decided to deregister ANY handles containing fontawesome or font-awesome and only keep the handle thats namned ‘font-awesome’.
Hi everyone. Font Awesome will be updated to the latest version in the next update of Vantage. We’ll hopefully get that out in the next couple of weeks.
When will FA 4.4 be integrated into Vantage Premium?
