I have a glitch I can’t figure out. I want to fix this issue before delving deeper into the Focus theme and doing more customizations.
The text in the header block is pulling from somewhere, but it’s old data. The copy on the page is correct, but it’s simply not reflected in the header. See image below for the example.
I have inspected all information on the page (SEO, copy in all views, etc.) There simply isn’t anything with this old text in any currently installed theme. I have deleted all but a few themes I may actually use.
I’m running child themes on all. Switching to full theme makes no difference. All plugins for Focus are installed.
There is no cache plugin installed or activated, so I can’t flush that or disable it.
Issue persists on different devices, so it’s not just on my computer.
I’m currently using a different theme to avoid this problem for the moment, however this is how it appears using Focus:
I found the easy workaround, if not the actual answer.
I opened the editor on the “Welcome” page and simply copied the page text and image (Ctrl+C), then created a new “Home” page and pasted (Ctrl+V) into the editor there.
Then under Settings / Reading, I switched my front page from “Welcome” to “Home”. Presto, done.
Then I deleted the previous offending page (“Welcome”).
Hi Flabeachbum,
I’m glad you were able to resolve this issue. I’m sorry I wasn’t able to be of assistance this time. Please be sure to post another thread if you have any other questions.
