Focus Theme: Customize Throws Fatal Error

Using the Focus Theme on my site and trying to edit the copyright in the footer. Assuming it’s in theme settings, I go there and see this message:
Our theme settings now take advantage of the WordPress customizer. Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Theme Settings to access theme settings.

However, When I go to Appearance > Customize, I get a fatal error (it doesn’t actually crash my site but I am unable to move forward).

I’ve just updated to the most recent WordPress (6.1) and updated the few standard plugins on the site.

I am also unable to click on anything in the Theme File Editor to try to fix the error myself.

Error (*sitename swapped for security):
Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: Unsupported operand types: string * int in /homepages/39/d140079920/htdocs/clickandbuilds/sitename/wp-content/themes/focus/inc/settings/settings.php:449

Any thoughts?

Hi, thanks for getting in touch.

Focus has been discontinued but the Settings submodule mentioned above is maintained. I’ve prepared a release for you to try. It should hopefully, resolve the error:

Thanks Andrew – before I try this theme installation, will it knock out any customization currently in place? Unfortunately, since I cannot get into the Theme settings now I can’t take record of what they are. Just want to know what to expect.

*Customization through the theme settings I mean, I understand the files themselves will be overwritten

    Sure, no problem.

Manually updating a theme won’t impact the settings stored in the Customizer.
