Featured images do Not replace

When I Replace a Featured image in a post, the image does NOT delete, it just adds to the post. So as you can see from the post below, Four featured images appear in the post ?? How/Where do I get rid of these extra images?

    Hi kevinmc3,

    Can you double check that you’re setting the featured image properly? From the sounds of things you’re adding them to the visual editor.

    This guide is for WordPress.com, but the theory is very similar – https://codex.wordpress.org/Post_Thumbnails

    There are no images visible in Visual Editor. I read the link you sent but still no way of either deleting these images or knowing WHERE they are coming from? They where all added as Featured Images… and as you can see below they are all lined up to the right, one for each time I “replaced” the Featured Image
