You can change this with some custom CSS. If you navigate to Appearance > Custom CSS, you’ll get our custom CSS editor. Just add the following code.

So sorry for getting the spelling of your name wrong earlier.
Unfortunately you cannot do plain text with MetaSlider or with the SiteOrigin Slider. You could give this plugin a try instead.

Once created just add the slider shortcode that is generated when you create the slider to a Visual Editor Widget in place of the slider widget.
