Error Message With MadHat Theme

By Tiffany Joseph, 8 years ago. Last reply by Andrew Misplon, 8 years ago.

Hi everyone!

Working on my site for a bit, when I selected a new theme and had this error message pop up:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘)’, expecting ‘,’ or ‘;’ in /home2/engsocyu/public_html/wp-content/themes/madhat/framework/widgets/recent-posts.php on line 60

Now, I can’t view the site as a guest or editor, and cannot access the dashboard either. Any help would be appreciated!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Tiffany

Sorry to hear about the hassle. Hopefully, you’ve been able to resolve this challenge. If not you’ll need to login to your server via FTP or Hosting File Manager and manually delete the problem theme in question. You’ll find the theme folder at the following location wp-content/themes/madhat.
