Hi
I Just tried installing your estate plus theme, and got the following error message:
Unpacking the package…
Installing the theme…
The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.
Theme install failed.
Can you advise?
Thanks
Ian
Hi Ian
Thanks for reaching out.
Estate Plus is a plugin, the plugin ZIP file needs to be installed from PluginsAdd NewUpload Plugin to work.
Hope that helps.
Thanks that worked – cheers
Glad to hear you’re up and running :) All the best.
Unrelated but I started another thread about an hour before this one. It still says pending approval. It seems to have been missed. It’s to do with SEO and the way some widgets seem to interact with yoast SEO and some don’t.
Thanks for the heads up. We’ve transitioned our forum over to be community driven. Our premium support is now being managed on email. We do our best to pick up as many free product questions on the forum as possible. Unfortunately, it can take us some time to get to these.
We’ve done all we can to get Page Builder and Yoast SEO content analysis working…for the moment at least. Page Builder copies all of its content over to the Visual/Text tabs on save so that Yoast content analysis can make read it. Unfortunately, for the moment, this seems to be inconsistent due to a bug in Yoast. If you’d like me to confirm, please, go to a page that’s having a content analysis issue and click Prebuilt then click Import/Export and then Download Layout bottom right. After downloading the JSON file, upload it to Dropbox or Drive or a service like https://www.wetransfer.com/ and send us the link. I’ll then test it locally and confirm. Thanks.
I have sort of solved it now by simply moving to one of your themes – however, I am not getting Visual/Text tabs at the top anymore – once I’ve used Pagebuilder I just get
and if I click on that I get…
If I click to continue it does indeed wipe all my content – even with copy content turned on in the settings – like I say it is not a huge deal as I have found workarounds now, but I have seen someone else saying they now do not have the option to revert to those tabs since the 4.5 WordPress upgrade
Cheers for the help
Ian
Unfortunately, you’ve never had the option to revert once you move back to the Visual/Text tabs. The content is copied there only for use by Yoast SEO. Once Page Builder moves out of Page Builder mode all Page Builder layout is lost. We’ve made the text for this action “Revert” and provided a warning to emphasise this loss. The only way to restore would be to click Screen Options top right and enable Revisions, using page revisions you can roll back. The Visual/Text tabs were removed from Page Builder quite a long time ago, also, to emphasise how you’re in Page Builder now and can’t temporarily change back to the regular editor.
Hope this makes sense. As you can hear from the above explanation we’ve made lots of little iterations to try make things as mistake-proof as they can be. We’ll keep improving/tweaking as we develop new ideas.
Aah – that makes a lot of sense – it’s been a while since I’ve used WordPress and just getting back into it hence my confusion.
Thanks a lot for the help – a great example of customer service done right.
Ian
For sure :) Glad we could help out. Hope the rest of your site build goes well. If anything else comes up, please, let us know.
