Embedded Video Youtube Parameter

By Petteri, 9 years ago. Last reply by Magus, 9 years ago.

Hello!
I am using your Vantage Premium theme and would like to know which parameter I should use in the end of the youtube-video url, so that once the video is played it will return automatically to the beginning to be played again. So I do not want those related videos appear on screen after played the video.

Help with this one, please?

    Hi Peterri

If you change your video source to this then it should repeat.

    For reference please see here

    Hi!
actually I sort of mislead you with my earlier comment – what I meant was that I do not want the video to be played automatically again after it is watched for the first time.

Anyway I tried your url above, but it does not work. Any help?

    Thanks!

    Hi again,
thanks – now it is working, but there is only a link instead of the youtube-screen. So what to do to, because the link is not enough as you know. Any solution?

You can see it on my test site frontpage (at the bottom): so please check my test domain and use this url: test.ideapesu.fi

    Thanks,

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Petteri

This is an issue that comes up when you use the custom home page feature of Page Builder and you don’t have any posts. Strange I know, but this is just a side effect of the WordPress oEmbed class that Page Builder uses.

To get around this please remove the video widget from the page and replace it with a visual editor widget.

In the visual editor widget please add this under the text tab.

    <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/nPgpEyf_q_U?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

    Hi Magus!
Bingo! Now it is working nice, thanks for your advice and effort. I can see you have to use iframe, but that is not a problem and I will use this solution of course in the future.

    Thanks again : )
