Edited my header, now no more menu or logo

By Agne Zubyte, 9 years ago. Last reply by Andrew Misplon, 9 years ago.

Hello,

I accidentally deleted part of my header code in header.php, so I downloaded the origami theme and copied the original header.php code from the file to my website.

I managed to get my front page back up, however now there is no more menu or header image.

I’m so lost and frustrated with myself. This is what my header php. currently looks like:

<html >

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=” />

<link rel="pingback" href="” />

<body >

Thank you for your help!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Agne

    Sorry to hear about the hassle. These things happen. Just remember that unless you moved edited theme files into a child theme, those changes will be lost if you ever update the theme.

    The best recovery method here is to switch to another theme, delete Origami and the re-install the theme from Appearance > Themes > Add New.

    Content and settings will be safe.
