Edit Widget – (12)Cannot allocate memory: couldn’t create child process: /opt/suphp/sbin/suphp

Hello,

I urgently require help with the above. Every time I try and edit any widget within the Page Builder, only one pane will load fully. The other one is stuck with the spinning circle.

Annoyingly it’s typically the right pane (with the Widget Styles in) which loads at the expense of the left pane where you input the content.

I have checked the error logs and found the following appear every time I try and edit a widget:

File does not exist: /home/xyz/public_html/xyz.com/500.shtml, referer: http://xyz.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=1030&action=edit

and

(12)Cannot allocate memory: couldn’t create child process: /opt/suphp/sbin/suphp for /home/xyz/public_html/xyz.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php, referer: http://xyz.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=1030&action=edit

Really desperate to get this resolved. Can anyone help? My hosting company tried upping the memory limit but suggested there could be a bug.

My server configuration is:
PHP v5.3.23
MySql v5.5.40-cll

I’m using the latest version of Page Builder (2.0.5), in fact I tried a couple of the earlier versions, each had the same issue.

Thanks!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Kavoos

This sounds like a challenging problem. Upping the memory limit is where I would have started too. It does sound like a hosting level problem or perhaps a Page Builder problem specific to this server setup.

Please can you try ruling out some basics for us.

    a. Test with all other plugins de-activated.
    b. Test with all other plugins de-activated and a default theme like Twenty Fourteen.

    Hi Andrew,

Thanks for your reply. It is indeed a challenging issue.

I tried both of the solutions that you mentioned to no avail. Do you have any other ideas?

    Thanks.

    Hi Andrew,

Once again thanks for replying. I did what you suggested and there does appear to be a javascript error. Here is the error log:
