Deleting Plugin

1 year ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 1 year ago

I had installed and activated your plug-in to make some basic changes to the layout of my site that I did not know that I could do another way (my themes custom .css option) anyway, I no longer need the plug-in, but it will not delete. Please advise.

Hi, thanks for posting your question. Glad to hear you’re making progress making changes to your site and adding Custom CSS!

SiteOrigin CSS installs and deletes normally across our testing installations; unfortunately it sounds like something server specific might have occurred. If you have access to your hosting control panel you could manually delete the folder. Normally the steps would be something like this:

    — Google “your host name” + “file manager”. For example “godaddy hosting file manager”.
    — Login to your hosting control panel, navigate to your file manager.
    — Navigate to the /wp-content/plugins/ folder, right click on the “so-css” folder and delete it.

If you run into any hurdles, please let us know and we’ll help you solve them.
