Hi,
I’m really wanting to do the same thing as this person in this thread from quite some time ago: https://siteorigin.com/thread/custom-iris-picker/

I tried the suggested code in my functions.php file of my child theme, but am getting errors.

It is extremely time consuming to manually keep typing in my color choices as I’m building my current site with the SiteOrigin Page Builder and Widget Bundle. Is there any kind of shortcut or way to get this code to work?

Additionally, something weird keeps happening when I do begin typing in some of my color codes. For some reason, it tries to auto complete. For example, when trying to type in #998566, I type #998 and then suddenly #999988 appears and goofs me all up, and I have to select and change the incorrect numbers. It has also done this with other hex codes, and I find it quite annoying and time consuming.

    Hi, thanks for posting.

We’re, unfortunately, unable to assist with custom development changes like the one listed in the custom-iris-picker thread. I wish we could. We’re a small company with limited resources, as a result, our support scope is limited to basic usage and troubleshooting. In our premium support scope,z we can go deeper into troubleshooting and more advanced use cases but still aren’t able to assist with custom development. Codeable.io is one option if you ever wanted to hire a developer to assist.

With regards to color, setting autocomplete, I’m only able to get a color field to autocomplete if I press the tab key after typing #998. If I just type #998 I’m not seeing an autocomplete in Chrome. It’s unlikely this is a behavior we’d be able to adjust. I’ll ask the team if they have any idea what might be causing that.

Hi again. I chatted with Alex here at SiteOrigin. We aren’t sure what might be causing the autocomplete behavior you’ve described. At the moment, we aren’t able to replicate the problem. Sorry, I don’t have better news on this one.
