Cta tracking using google analytics

10 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 10 years ago

Hi,

I’m loving the page builder plugin. You guys have seriously saved me hours – thanks so much.

I’m having an issue with the CTA widget from the widgets bundle.

I have entered my tracking code in the onclick box within the CTA Widget like this;

_gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'downloads', 'topButtonClick','Cook Once eBook']);

however, when you look at the code created on in the HTML, it actually reads like this;

_gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'downloads', 'topButtonClick','Cook Once eBook']);"

Can you help?

    Hi Kevin

    Hopefully you’ve made progress on this.

    I’m not seeing a difference in the code you’ve posted. Could you perhaps explain where the difference is?

    This is how it renders in my local testing:

    <a class="ow-button-hover" href="http://google.com" onclick=" _gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'downloads', 'topButtonClick','Cook Once eBook']); ">
