CSS Not Loaded

11 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 11 years ago

Hello.

The plugin was working fantastically right up to the point it stopped working at all.

The content is loaded, but not in rows/colums as I set it with the page builder, just regular divs, one after another. This happens on any page/post I tried PageBuilder on.

A check in the inspector shows that the ID’s are attributed to the divs, but the css that’s supposed to go with them fails to be loaded/generated.

From what I can tell it’s supposed to be loaded/generated with some ajax, and I think that suddently stopped doing its job properly.

The error I get in the inspector console is:

Resource interpreted as Stylesheet but transferred with MIME type text/html: “http://my-domain-name.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=siteorigin_panels_post_css&post=2&layout=9330cbaf”.

When I try opening that file it seems to contain just a “0” character, nothing more.

What I tried to fix this:
1. Deactivate and then delete all other plugins.
2. Deactivate and delete then reinstall Page Builder plugin.
3. Reset wordpress database to default.

Can you assist in any way?

    I learned one more thing.

When I changed to a default WP theme (twentyfourteen) the plugin worked once more.

By comparing the page-source with the 2 themes applied, I noticed a difference:

When the plugin works, the ajax link looks like this:
    http://serbanandreica.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=siteorigin_panels_post_css&post=2&layout=9330cbaf&ver=1.5.3

When it doesn’t, it looks like this:
    http://serbanandreica.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=siteorigin_panels_post_css&post=2&layout=9330cbaf

For some reason with some themes (I tested multiple themes, it works with some but not with others, couldn’t find a pattern) the “ver” part gets removed from the link, thus rendering it useless.

    Hi Serban

Sorry to hear about the hassle. Please try deleting Page Builder, installing this new version:

    https://siteorigin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/siteorigin-panels.1.5.4.zip

From Plugins > Add New: Upload Plugin.

Head to Settings > SiteOrigin Page Builder and check that Inline CSS is checked. Do this after installing the new version.

    Hope that helps.
