Hi Guys.
Installed CSS Editor on a site earlier today and made my very first CSS changes. Awesome result.
However I’ve now downloaded onto 3 different sites but it does not show any code for elements in the Inspector window nor does it display any revision dates.
Not really sure where to start to troubleshoot but the only thing I can say is that all sites were built using Artisteer to create the WordPress theme but the development site where it does work is using GeneratePress Theme that I working towards implementing.
Any ideas how to troubleshoot this please?
Thanks Nigel
This is another query to tag onto Nigel’s (as I have searched all forums & found no answer). Likewise I cannot get code to appear in the Inspector Section.
I’d believe it may be related to:
1. my Importing a layout; Fitness Gym
2. Changing the background to; black
3. changing text to; white
So when CSS Editor is opened, because the text is now white BUT Inspector is a white bgnd…..I can no longer view the code.
NOTE: scrolling over the Inspector area one does know code is there, just can’t see it.
ADVICE PLEASE – how to fix this visual problem in inspector?
Hi – here’s a link I just set up to show the issue: http://djg4friends.com/SiteOrigin/
I hope this is of assistance, cheers Dennis
Thanks Dennis
PS: I could not work out how to include an image snippet to show the problem, my apology.
Hi Dennis,
We’d like to help you, but can you please start a new thread with your issue? Your issue isn’t the same as Nigel so to allow for others to be able to easily find your issue / solution you should open up a new thread.
We also can only offer you the best support possible when you’re the owner of a thread.

Hi Nigel,
This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
As you’re not using a SiteOrigin theme, you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
