Hi there
I have the Pro version of Vantage but when using the editor the screen looks very different from the screen on your video. It has less options.
The (for me most important) selecting by hovering also does not work
Please advise
here’s my site

Hi Jvanbavel
Thanks for upgrading to Vantage Premium. Can you just check that you have the SiteOrigin CSS plugin installed? This is the plugin we recently released that adds advanced CSS editing capabilities. When you install it, it should replace the older one that comes with our themes.

Hi Greg
I have the same promblem as Jvanbavel. H use Vantage Premium and i have SiteOrigin CSS plugin installed.
When i tried to use SiteOrigin CSS, for first time, there was no hovering function and also no inspector function.
Now, some days later, the situation went worse. When i press the visual editor mode button nothing happens.
Jvanbavel, what slider do you use on your site (Monumental Designs photos)?
Hi Greg
Sure I have this pluginn installed !
But i still have the problem
Hi Greg

Hi Jvanbavel
This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
OK Greg
I will try …. mostly nextgen is a conflict
Perhaps i can find an otherway to display the galeries
Is Jetpack a good alternative ? or too heavy to combine with the Pro theme Vantage.
Jvanbavel
Hi jvanbavel
After activating Jetpack you can go to Jetpack > Settings and de-activate everything, then enable just the modules you’d like to use. I use it on a few sites without any major issues.
Jetpack Tiled Galleries
Jetpack Carousel
Those two are my gallery modules. The nice things is that you land up using regular WordPress galleries so if you ever want to switch to some other plugin it’s pretty easy.
Had the same problem on my side. The W3 Total Cache was throwing a conflict in my case.
Just wanted to give the heads up. It might come in handy
Thanks for your feedback Jeroen, appreciate it.
(Jeroen it might have just been the CSS minification aspect of W3 Total Cache causing a problem.)
Hi Andrew
Thank You I think this will be a usefull solution I have been looking fot sometime to replace the galleries
Nextgen is sort of responsive but not swipable
I will try Jetpa k as You have described
Kind regards
Jvanbavel
For sure. I’m sure you’ll find the combination useful.
All the best :)
Hi Andrew I changed from nextgen to jetpack images. But still I cannot use the css editor . The hover simply does not work.
It would be a lot less helpdesk mails : ) if we could get it to work, so can you take another look please ?
W3 cache i do not use since a long time. But thanks Jeroen.
I noticed that while working on another site I have the same problem ( totally different plug-inns are used there) with also a vantage premium theme.

Hey JvanBavel
Good to hear from you. Please, open a new thread: Page: New Thread and post the link to the new thread here. I’ll do my best to pick it up this evening.
Thanks
Sorry, hahah, this your thread, my bad :)
Ok, our next step would be to start over on troubleshooting:
1. Run all pending updates from Dashboard > Updates.
2. De-activate all plugins except for SiteOrigin plugins.
3. Re-test.
4. If it works, re-activate plugins one by one.
Hi there
Suddenly the hover works in the css editor : ) So far so good
But now i cannot go to the page i wish to edit (in this case the buttons in the website)
When i switch from css to view he displays a page where the system states:
‘page cannot be found’
with several blog links displayed etc
Through the menu or otherwise i can not leave that page
Something I can do ?
Kind regards
Jvanbavel
Hi Jvanbavel
Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:
[email protected]
Just navigate to Users > Add New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the “Send Password” field so we receive the details.
Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.
I will do that. i have a busy time right bow but as soon as i can I will
Thank you on forehand
Kind regards
JvanBAvel
For sure.
