Copying Rows

Hi Guys,

This question has been asked previously, but the most recent thread I can find is over a year old, and at the time, it was a tricly feature to implement.

Has there been any changes since ? It would be great to copy a widget-filled row already build, to place into a new page/post.

Thanks again for building what is possibly the best WP plugin in the universe, and have a happy holiday season

Jason

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi JaySonic

Unfortunately, the situation hasn’t changed. This is definitely something we would like to add but it’s currently not in development.

With that said, you can clone layouts from other pages so you can indirectly do this. To do this, please click the layouts button and then click the relevant Clone post type link (for example, posts for posts and pages for pages, etc). Then find and clone the desired layout. This will, however, insert the entire cloned layout on to your current page so I typically would recommend adding a layout builder and then cloning things into that layout builder (which is a page builder in widget form) as it’s easier to remove undesired cloned rows and widgets.

    Hi Alex,

Thanks for your response. I’ve been using a ‘clone page’ plug-in for whole pages, but wasn’t aware that it could be done directly in Site-Origin’s suite, so that’s good to know – I can delete the third party plugin one I look into your suggestion.

    All the best,

    Jason
