Hi there, I’m fairly new to WordPress and am currently experimenting with The Vintage theme which seems great. However, I notice that the ‘Contributors Page’ option is not available in the theme. Can someone tell me how I can create a list of Contributors? Do I now need to download a Widget or [plugin to handle this? The Twenty Fourteen theme had this available.
I’ve downloaded JetPack but can’t see it there.
Thanks for your time! I’m loving WordPress there is so much to this software – where has it been all my life!
Alex
Hi Alex
Glad to hear things are progressing well so far.
Vantage unfortunately doesn’t have a page template for contributors like Twenty Fourteen does. You could perhaps try a plugin for this. I haven’t used any so far. Here are some you might consider:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/list-site-contributors/
https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=list+authors&sort=
Thanks for the response Andrew. I’ll check out the plugin you mentioned. Vintage is a cracking theme and looks really nice ;-)
I’ve always wanted to dive into content creation and found web design to be so tedious. This is especially true with so many browser hacks required. WordPress is a saviour and let’s most people got onto the fun part – content presentation. My, have we come a long way within the last 10 years!
Keep up the good work! ;-)
Alex
Glad to hear Vantage is working out so far, thanks for your positive feedback. It’s been a busy 10 years for sure, we live in the future now! Let us know if you find a good plugin/widget for this application.
(Keep an eye on our Widget Bundle plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/ I’m sure we’ll be adding new widgets to it over the coming months)
