Hello, I have a few forms on my site and have used the email address form to receive the feedback and nothing is coming back to me. I do see it in the admin panel, but I had wanted to be directly emailed to me.
I’m a new WordPress user (can you tell!) and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong here.
Thanks!
Nadia
Hi Nadia
I encounter this type of problem even when using the Gravity Forms premium plugin. Here are a few things you can do.
a. I’ve had the best results setting the form to send from the visitor’s email address and not the website’s.
b. If you’re using any of the big webmail services like Gmail you should setup a filter to ensure your form emails never land in Spam. There is usually a common element, perhaps the subject always says “New message from Contact form”, you can use that subject to create a filter for example.
c. Finally, Gravity Forms stores all your submissions within WordPress so you can do a weekly recon to ensure you haven’t missed any mails. If you’re using Contact Form 7 there is an addon plugin available that allows messages to be logged in WordPress. Try find something similar for your plugin.
TLDR: Chances are your form messages are getting stuck in Spam.
