Contact Form 7 inside Popup Maker inside SiteOrigin Button Widget

Hello,
I’m working on creating the following behavior and am running into challenges determining exactly what I’m doing incorrectly.

I’m using these plugins to create my desired action:
Contact Form 7 – For the form I want displayed on the popup
Popup Maker – to create and manage the popup that holds the form
SiteOrigin Button Widget – to launch the popup when clicked

1. I’ve created the form and have the shortcode.
2. I’ve placed the form shortcode within the popup WYSIWYG (looks like any other tinymce).
3. Using pageBuilder I’ve created a Layout widget and within created SiteOrigin Button widget.
4. In the Attributes section in the sidebar of teh Button widget I’ve placed the css class, example “popmake-000”

When I save and load the page the button doesn’t respond. This is my first attempt at this type of behavior. I’ve done forum searches but none have quite my setup. Any advice is appreciated!

    Hi, I Work Here

Unfortunately, our button widget doesn’t have a class field at the moment, only an id field. This is the problem. As an alternative, you can insert a SiteOrigin Editor widget. In the Text tab, you can insert HTML as follows:

    <button class="popmake-cf7">Button Text</button>

Replace the class with your class and Button Text with your chosen button text.

    Good morning,
After your reply yesterday I managed to get something functioning. Here’s how I accomplished it (if you see anything that would cause issues please let me know).

    1. I use Vantage Premium and Page Builder for every page. On this page I placed a Layout Builder Widget and within that placed a SiteOrigin Button widget.
    2. Within the Button widget there is an Attribute drop down on the right which let’s me assign a Widget class, I gave this widget the class of “.ServiceIssue1” (it a customer form).
    3. I went back to the Popup Maker page for the custom popup and in a section called “Click Open Settings” (described as “This allows custom css classes, ids or selector strings to trigger the popup when clicked. Seperate multiple selectors using commas.”) I placed “.serviceIssue1”. My understanding is that anytime an element with that class is clicked it launches the popup.

This works as desired but I don’t know if it’s bad practice or cobbled. I’d like it to be secure and integrate properly with your Vantage theme and plugins. I’ll reply again in private with a url for you to look at. Thank you so much for your support! SiteOrigin makes great products!

Nicely done :) There is no problem at all with doing it that way. We appreciate the update.

    All the best.
