Conflict with SiteOrigin CSS Editor and Vantage Premium

Hello.

I am building a site using the Vantage Premium theme combined with Page Builder and the new SiteOrigin CSS Editor plugin.

I think there is a conflict with the new CSS Editor Plugin. Almost every time I’ve used it and updated my custom CSS stylesheet, it would delete portions of my existing CSS. In order for me to make it to work, I had to copy the entire custom CSS every I used it and save it in my text editor and then copy and paste the portions the very next time used it to make any alterations to the CSS.

Can you help me with this? I eventually had to remove the plugin and use the CSS Editor that comes with Vantage Premium and so far my custom CSS has stayed in tact.

Also, how do I upgrade my support options. I only paid $15 when I originally purchased the theme. Now that I have used it, I’d like to upgrade. I would like Vantage Premium to be the main theme that I work with from now on. I’m assuming that Page Builder and CSS Editor would work most seamlessly with Vantage Premium compared to other WordPress themes.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Alex

    Thanks for your support.

That’s no good. To troubleshoot the situation I’d recommend testing with just SiteOrigin CSS and Page Builder activated. Temporarily de-activate all other plugins. Re-test saving CSS in the new editor. If the issue resolves itself you’d then need to try re-activating your plugins one by one. After each activation, re-check the issue.

Let us know how you come along with that.

Vantage doesn’t work much better with Page Builder and SO CSS than most themes. That’s not a slight against Vantage but more of a kudos to the plugins. They were built flexibility in mind.

If you’d like to make an additional payment to get bumped up the forum queue you could do so here:

I’ll then add your second amount to the first amount.

Let us know how you come along.

    Thanks :)

Thank you. I will do just that. I'm sure that is what the problem is.
Also, do you have a snippet that reverses the order in how the Page Builder cells collapse underneath each other? So instead of the rightmost cell going underneath the leftmost cell, can that be reversed easily? Can the leftmost cell go underneath the rightmost cell when the screen size narrows to the width of a smartphone for example.
In sure I could figure it out with a little trial and error but if you already have a snippet for that, it would save me some time.
    Thank you.

    Hi, I Work Here

There unfortunately isn’t an easy way to do that right now. It would take custom development. Page Builder will however reverse the order if your site is set to RTL: https://codex.wordpress.org/Right-to-Left_Language_Support. That’s only applicable if you’re using a RTL language though.

Sorry, wish I had more on this.
