Hi there, I need a little help. I use a page builder for creating some content. When I try to change a color of the row or to change a color of the text in the textual widget and try to save a changes, it forward me to 404 page. Whatever I try (even I try to put simple text or html widget or even siteorigin editor) the result is the same. I never had such problem before. Does anybody know what could be a reason?
Hi, thanks for posting.
There are a few possible causes. Please, could you start by contacting your hosting company and asking them asking them about possible ModSecurity false positives?
404 error when editing widgets
If you’re seeing a 404 error when editing SiteOrigin widgets, please reach out to your hosting company. Let them know you’ve been experiencing 404 errors when editing widgets in your WordPress site and you believe ModSecurity could be the cause. Your hosting company will then be able to review their ModSecurity logs and hopefully, adjust their rules to account for the false positives.
