Child theme

i am going to do the things gradually as below:

1) i will install wordpress and vintage theme.
2) i will make a child theme of vintage theme.
3) then i will develop my site using ‘siteorigin page builder’ and ‘site origin’s css editor’.

now my questions are:

1) later when the update of theme and wordpress will come, if i update the theme/wordpress, will i loss all the contents, pages, settings and customization i did with the help of ‘siteorigin page builder’ and ‘site origin’s css editor’.?

please help me out.

    Hi ইমাদ রাহমান,

    No, your data will be retained on update. Technically if you’re not making any direct file edits (which neither SiteOrigin Page Builder or SiteOrigin CSS do) you don’t actually even need a child theme.
