Changing the post information box on landing page

Hey not sure whether I can change the post information box on my landing page for my blog posts. currently it’s just a black box and I’d like to have a different style, maybe even a circle.

    Sure andrew sorry I am new to this and I have no clue how to express myself properly. check out http://justbeingbibi.com/ – on my landing page, once you scroll down, you can see a black box that has the title and date of my latest blog and I was wondering if I can make it something else other than a big black box? thanks heaps

    Sure. You can delete that Post Loop widget under Appearance > Home Page and insert other widgets there as required.
