A lot depends on whether you’re using Page Builder or not. Are you moving to another host, or staying with BlueHost and using an addon domain or simply trying to change your existing domain name while remaining where you’re at. See the article below r4egarding Duplicator plugin. That will help.

    Hello,

    I have the same problem.
In my case i have to change the name domain like http://www.mydomain.com > http://www.my-domain.com
My WordPress is ready on production.
I think that the “Duplicator plugin” solution isn’t useful in my case.

    Thanks.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Dorie

DrDave, thanks for your solid input there.

Dorie, changing your domain name will result in images you’ve previously inserted breaking. You’d need to manually update those references to reflect their new urls.

Page Builder content is the tough part about a move. If you are moving servers then I’d recommend trying the move with the Duplicator plugin. Please see the thread DrDave linked to above. In addition I’d also make a backup using Tools > Export.

jimmyneutron, if you’re staying on the same server then the Page Builder issue goes away – to my knowledge. But still, just in case, make a backup with Duplicator and backup via Tools > Export. In your case please check out: http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress#Changing_Your_Domain_Name_and_URLs.
