Changing CSS using Custom CSS without affecting other elements within site

10 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 10 years ago

I just downloaded Custom CSS from Site Origin. I am attempting to use this to customize my site (which uses Site Origin Page Builder as well), but each time I make a change to my css using Custom CSS, my change affects other elements on my site that are the same type of widget. I am very new to using CSS and have a basic understanding of how the command calls an action to take place to change the style of the page, but I am not versed at calling out a single element to customize without changing the style of the widget on another page of my site.

    Hi Mark Wayner,

I would recommend giving this article a read, Specifics on CSS Specificity. If you’re still having issues trying to work out how to target exact things I can give you a couple of pointers if you link me a public URL. If you need to keep this URL private from other users, just select “Private Reply” on the bottom right of the comment box.
