Categories in page builder

I am new to SiteOrigin’s page builder. I have an existing wordpress template. The theme has a blog template but it doesn’t filter specific categories. I would like to have the main inner pages auto populate with the most recent posts based on category. Can Page Builder accomplish this and what are the steps?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi William

    Try adding a Post Loop widget to the page concerned. You’d need to first de-select that page from Settings > Reading: Posts Page or by the method the theme made that the blog page. Within the Post Loop widget you can setup your options, the final option being Additional where you can enter:

    cat=x

    Where x is the category ID you want to pull. You can comma separate ID’s.

    The Post Loop widget looks for templates to use as follows:

    loop-*.php
    *-loop.php
    content-.php
    *-content.php

    * being a maverick. It could be any name. If your theme doesn’t have a template the Post Loop widget can use you might need to create one in a child theme.
